St. Stephen is a town situated in the southwestern part of New Brunswick province in Canada. It is placed on the banks of the Saint Croix River right at the border of Canada and the USA, opposite Calais, Maine. Saint Stephen has an estimated population of 4500 people and is always praised for the warmth of its people and the history of the town.
Instead, the local economy is characterized by much more plurality in modern times with several industries, including retail, tourism and small-scale businesses. The town of St. Stephen has also earned another nickname in that it is often referred to as, the “Chocolatier of Canada’s towns” as it hosts Ganong Bros - a very old chocolate-making business.
One of the biggest attractions of St Stephen is the rich and sweet culture in the form of the yearly Chocolate Fest hosted by the town. In addition to that, people also enjoy visiting St. Croix River which is known for its good views and many outdoor activities.
