Inuvik is a town of North West Territory, located on the eastern channel of Mackenzie Delta within the taiga forest. It’s typically inhabited by Inuvialuit, Gwich’in, and Metis peoples as well as other communities. In summer months, Inuvik comes alive in the Midnight Sunlight; hence travellers along Dempster Highway frequent the area to indulge in canoeing, fishing or cycling amidst twenty-four hours of daylight. The springtime is quite brief just like summertime but winter has unique experiences; there are 10,000 kilometre delta channelled for snowmobiling purposes. In addition, there is also snowshoeing, winter camping, cross-country skiing and ice fishing occurrences. The Aurora Borealis can be observed in this town.
