Size | The photo size should be 31mm by 41mm. |
Color | The picture should be in color. |
Head position | Submitting a portrait-style picture is not allowed. However, you must keep your face perpendicular to the camera showing both the sides of your face, equally and your head needs to be straight in the picture. |
Recency | As per the photo requirements, you should submit a picture which has been captured within the last 6 months. |
Background | The background needs to be white in color. It must not contain patterns, shadows or any other colors. |
Expressions | Only neutral facial expressions are permitted. No smiling. |
Eyes | Your eyes should be seen clearly and they should never be blocked by your glasses, hair or anything else. |
Quality | Avoid submitting blurred pictures. |
Glasses | As long as the glasses are thin-framed and transparent, you can wear them while keeping in mind that there should not be any glare in the picture. Moreover, glasses with dark lenses are allowed for the disable people only. However, tinted lenses and sunglasses are prohibited. |
Headwear | No, headgear is not acceptable. However, it is allowed for medical or religious reasons but you need to remember that there must not be any shadows in the photo and your face should be perfectly visible from bottom to top. |
Resolution (Pixel) | Minimum 600 dpi. |
Dress code | It should be in contrast with the background. |
Beard | If your picture with a beard exhibits your true identity then it is fine but you should not shave or grow the beard for the sake of taking the picture. |
Lighting | An adequate amount of light is important to take a perfect picture. Avoid the light with too high or too low intensity and stay in front of the source of light to get a photo without any shadows. |
