The OCI photo size must be 51mm x 51mm or 2x2 inches.
Colour
The photo should always be in color and it must have a persistent tone quality.
Head Size and Position
Your head must be centered, straight and it should be visible from the base of your jaw to the top of your hair including all the edges. Your face must occupy 60% to 70% of the entire photo.
Quality
It must be printed on a high-quality photo paper which can withstand thermal lamination. The photo must not have a blurry or a dull face as well as there should not be any shadows in the picture.
Eyes
Eyes should be open.
Ears
Your ears must be clearly visible.
Neck
It should be seen clearly.
Shoulder
Your shoulders should be seen perfectly.
Background
A white background without any borders is a must.
Expressions
Smiling is prohibited. Keep natural facial expressions for the photo.
Clothing
You can wear any color clothes except white.
Headgear
Headgear is permitted only for the religious purpose but make sure that your face can be seen clearly from both sides as well as from the top of your eyebrows to the bottom of your chin.

Format
The format of the photo must be JPEG.
Size
The minimum size is 10 KB and the maximum size is 300 KB.
Size in Pixel
The height of the picture must be the same as its width. The minimum size is 350 pixels x 350 pixels and the maximum size is 1000 pixels x 1000 pixels.
Head size and position
Your full face must be seen from the front. Your head should be in the center of the picture and it must be clearly visible from the top your hair to the bottom of your jaw. It must measure 1 inch to 1 3/8 inches (25mm to 35mm) of the entire photo and the eye height should be between 1 1/8 inches to 1 3 inches.
Eyes
Eyes should always be open.
Background
A white background is required without any borders.
Shadows
According to the photo requirements, there must not be any shadows in the photo.

The specified size for OCI digital passport photo is 600 pixels x 600 pixels.
