Size | The photo size should be 35mm by 45mm. |
Color | A color photo is compulsory. Yes, black and white pictures will be rejected. |
Head size and position | Your head must occupy 70% to 80% of the photograph. Keep your head in the center while looking forward. Moreover, your head and top part of your shoulders should be squared with the camera. |
Recency | The picture cannot be older than 6 months. |
Background | The background of the photo should be solid white. Any prints or patterns are not permitted. |
Expressions | Your mouth must be closed and your facial expressions should be neutral. No, smiling is not allowed. |
Eyes | Your eyes must be wide open while staring at the camera. In case, you get a red eye due to the flash then you’ll be required to retake the picture as digitally altered pictures are not allowed. |
Glasses | If your eyes don’t get blocked due to wearing glasses then you can keep them on. Also, remember that a picture with any glare will not be accepted. Furthermore, thick frames and tinted lenses are forbidden. |
Headgear | Headpieces and hats are not permitted. Although, you can wear a headgear if wearing it is a religious or a medical need. Still, you cannot hide your face and ears. Yes, not even partially. |
Dimensions and size (Pixel) | At least 1200 dpi. |
Clothing | According to the photo requirements, uniforms and light colored dresses should not be worn. |
Beard | If having a beard represents your daily look then it is allowed. |

Color | A color photo is necessary. Avoid submitting black and white pictures. |
Head size and Position | Your head and the top part of your shoulders must be squared with the camera while positioning your head in the center of the picture. You are required to look forward and your head should measure 70% to 80% of the photo. |
Recency | It should be clicked within the last 6 months. |
Background | A solid white background with no patterns, designs or prints. |
Expression | Neutral facial expressions with a closed mouth. Avoid smiling. |
Eyes | Keep your eyes widely open while you look straight into the camera. Retake the picture if you get a red eye due to the flash. No, digital alterations are not allowed. |
Glasses | Tinted lenses and thick frames are forbidden. Still, if you choose to wear your glasses then remember that presence of a glare in the picture can lead to the rejection of the photo and the glasses must not obscure your eyes. |
Headgear | Headgear is allowed for religious or medical reasons only. However, your face and ears must be fully visible. |
