| Size | The photo size should be 35mm by 45mm. |
| Color | It should be in color representing your actual skin tone. |
| Head size and position | Your head must be perfectly visible from your chin to your forehead and it must be in the center of the picture along with occupying 32mm to 36mm of the whole picture. Moreover, you need to look straight into the camera with your shoulders squared off and maintain a space of 2mm to 6mm from the top of your head to the top edge of the picture. |
| Recency | Submit a photo which has been taken within the last 6 months. |
| Background | The background should not have any colors except solid white. |
| Expressions | Avoid smiling, close your mouth and relax to have a perfect picture with neutral facial expressions which will be definitely accepted. |
| Eyes | Look forward and make sure that your eyes are open and clearly visible. |
| Hair | You can keep your hair open but they must not cover your face or forehead. |
| Glasses | Glasses must never block your eyes. Moreover, sunglasses, thick-framed glasses and any other glasses with tinted lenses are forbidden. |
| Headgear | You can’t wear any headgear if your religion does not require you to cover your head. Moreover, if you choose to wear one for religious purpose then make sure that it should not block your face. |
| Dimensions and size (Pixel) | At least 600 dpi. |
| Lighting | The picture must contain an even amount of lighting. Overexposed, underexposed or pictures with shadows will be rejected. |
| Attire, Clothing, Dress code | It should be in contrast with the background so you should not wear a white dress. |
| Beard | It is optional to have a beard for the photo. |
